This role is designed for an experienced cybersecurity professional who will lead complex security incident investigations and digital forensic activities across diverse technology environments. The position plays a critical role in helping organizations understand threats, minimize impact, and strengthen their security posture through expert analysis and response. You will investigate incidents across endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, and mobile environments while providing strategic guidance to stakeholders. The Senior Information Security Incident Response Analyst will manage advanced incident response engagements, perform forensic investigations, and provide expert recommendations to support containment, recovery, and long-term security improvements. The role requires technical leadership, client collaboration, and continuous contribution to the evolution of cybersecurity response practices.
- Lead complex security incident investigations, including host, disk, memory, network, cloud, and mobile forensic analysis.
- Perform detailed artifact analysis across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments to reconstruct attack timelines and identify root causes.
- Analyze forensic evidence, system logs, network data, and cloud activity to determine incident scope and impact.
- Guide stakeholders through containment, eradication, and recovery activities with clear technical recommendations.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents and provide support to junior analysts.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support urgent incident response situations.
- Conduct security assessments, tabletop exercises, incident readiness activities, and forensic reviews.
- Identify security gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen organizational resilience.
- Prepare accurate investigation documentation, technical reports, and executive-level communications.
- Collaborate with global cybersecurity teams to share knowledge, improve processes, and stay updated on emerging threats and forensic methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital forensics, incident response, and cybersecurity investigations, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience in digital forensics and incident response across endpoint, network, cloud, and mobile environments.
- Advanced knowledge of forensic analysis techniques for Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, packet analysis tools, and cybersecurity investigation platforms.
- Strong experience analyzing network traffic using tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.
- Knowledge of cloud security investigations across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with mobile forensic investigations across iOS and Android environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail during security investigations.
- Ability to communicate complex security findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior cybersecurity professionals and improving incident response processes.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as GIAC certifications (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH) or equivalent credentials are preferred.
- Additional DFIR-related certifications are considered a plus.
