Job Summary
The Rankin Health Education Building (RHEB) Facilities Planning Director provides seniorlevel coordination and oversight for the planning, operation, and longterm stewardship of the Health Education Building, a shared academic facility housing multiple academic and administrative units. Reporting to senior leadership, this role serves as the central point of coordination for buildinglevel facilities operations, space planning, renovations, and lifecycle initiatives.

The position works collaboratively with deans, unit leadership, university partners, and facilities professionals to develop recommendations, implement approved plans, and ensure alignment with institutional standards, policies, and infrastructure requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating daytoday building operations, managing facilitiesrelated budgets, supervising assigned staff, overseeing vendor services, and supporting emergency response activities.

This role places a strong emphasis on communication and shared governance, providing regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership regarding projects, space initiatives, operational impacts, and emerging issues, while exercising sound judgment and accountability in the execution of approved facilities plans.
