Job Description
The Residential Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of Residential construction.
We are looking for an experienced General Superintendent to help oversee daily construction operations for multiple active projects. This role will be split between the office and the field and will require someone who is organized, hands-on, and able to manage both people and project details.
The General Superintendent will be responsible for managing a small team of approximately 5–8 employees, coordinating with subcontractors and trade partners, tracking project schedules, managing budgets, and helping ensure each job is completed safely, correctly, and on time.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage and support field employees across multiple projects
• Coordinate daily jobsite activities and keep projects moving forward
• Schedule employees, subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and trade work
• Review project schedules and help adjust timelines as needed
• Track project budgets, labor hours, materials, and change orders
• Order materials, fixtures, equipment, and jobsite supplies
• Coordinate with estimating and design teams before and during construction
• Review drawings, scopes of work, selections, and project details
• Communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members
• Perform jobsite walkthroughs and quality control checks
• Ensure work is being completed per plans, code, scope, and company standards
• Help solve field issues and communicate changes quickly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
• Assist with punch lists, closeout items, and final project completion
• Provide regular project updates to ownership and office staff
Qualifications:
• Construction management or field supervision experience preferred
• Ability to manage 5–8 employees and multiple trades at one time
• Strong knowledge of residential construction, remodeling, or general contracting
• Ability to read drawings, scopes, schedules, and project documents
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable working both in the office and in the field
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, materials, and labor
• Organized, dependable, and able to solve problems quickly
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent .
• Knowledge of local and state building codes
