Livingston Memorial is looking for a Full Time, 40 hours a week, Grief Therapist\Coordinator of Youth Services, to support our Grief and Bereavement team. Must be able to work 2 evenings a week.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing all school-based programming and youth counseling services, providing individual counseling and group facilitation as needed; in accordance with accreditation guidelines, Medicare and State regulations, Board of Behavioral Science regulations, and Livingston's policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Provides individual, couples and family grief counseling.
- Coordinates with county school systems to educate, inform, and provide necessary grief support services.
- Develops an effective youth centered grief support program to meet the needs of the community.
- Provides annual psychoeducation and youth grief support groups training for school-based personnel as needed.
- Attends necessary meetings and effectively updates supervisor regarding school program.
- Communicates with all Ventura County school districts regarding trainings
- Responsible for maintaining all records and statistics pertaining to the school program.
- Supports school crisis response team when necessary.
- Acts as a grief and bereavement resource to schools.
- Communicates effectively with Program Director all needs and concerns related to the school program.
- Facilitates weekly grief support groups.
- Maintains productive caseload.
- Complies with the Board of Behavioral Sciences Code of Ethics and licensing requirements.
- Adheres to requirements of HIPPA.
- Attends the comprehensive Grief and Bereavement and Support Group Facilitation Classes.
- Participates in supervision or case conference as determined by caseload.
- Completes in a timely fashion electronic charting and all necessary paperwork and record keeping.
- Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.
- Promotes a setting that fosters comfort, dignity and empowerment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited graduate program.
- Valid California Professional License in the field of Study (LCSW, LMFT)
- Available 2 evenings a week
- 2-4 years of experience in providing Individual /Group Therapy.
- Complies with B.B.S. Code of Ethics and Licensing requirements.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and exchange information with other staff and the public.
- Maintains a positive, professional, and respectful attitude.
- Counselor/ Associate, will track their hours and complete all necessary paperwork through the BBS.
- Able to maintain a one-year commitment to the program, preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
- Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling individuals and/or in groups regarding loss.
- Knowledge of computer, proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to details and good organizational skills.
- Able to work independently, take ownership and responsibility of tasks.
- Strong professional ethics, discretion and judgment.
