Description:

We are seeking a results-driven and relationship-focused Assistant Director of Sales – OEM to support the growth and success of Hyatt Regency Houston West. This position is responsible for developing and managing all groups on the property, managing all banquet events, managing key BT accounts as needed, identifying new business opportunities, assisting the sales team with any support needed, and supporting strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue and market share. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong account management skills, a solid understanding of corporate and BT business segments, and the ability to build lasting client partnerships that align with hotel revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dual Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and executing strategic sales plans designed to grow corporate and negotiated account production.
  • ADOS is responsible for all groups and banquet leads for the property.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with the team, clients, travel managers, procurement contacts, and key decision-makers to maximize account penetration and long-term loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the employee and corporate travel segments through prospecting, market research, networking, and consistent account development.
  • Partner with hotel operations, revenue management, reservations, and marketing teams to ensure client expectations are met and business opportunities are successfully converted.
  • Support negotiation of corporate rates, group opportunities, preferred agreements, and other sales contracts in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
  • Monitor account performance, competitor activity, market conditions, and industry trends to recommend actions that increase revenue and improve market positioning.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, account updates, production analysis, forecasts, and presentations for leadership review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven hotel sales, corporate sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales processes, negotiated corporate accounts, RFPs, account production, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to analyze account performance, market trends, and revenue data to develop effective sales strategies and action plans.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, sales systems, and hotel reporting tools; experience with Hyatt systems is a plus.
  • Ability to travel locally and attend client meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry functions as business needs require.
