Position Description:

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Roadside Service Technician to provide prompt, professional assistance to motorists throughout Southeast Michigan. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work and helping others, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Respond promptly to emergency and routine roadside service calls.

• Provide light-duty roadside assistance, including battery changes, jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts, fuel delivery, and basic electrical system testing.

• Provide courteous, professional service while maintaining a positive customer experience.

• Sell and install parts as needed while maintaining a consistent and reasonable sales rate.

• Safely shuttle vehicles and/or parts to various locations.

• Use strong knowledge of Southeast Michigan geography to navigate efficiently.

• Safely operate a company vehicle in traffic, inclement weather, tight quarters, and inner-city locations.

• Work safely in environments involving extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, noise, slippery surfaces, heavy traffic, and low-light conditions.

• Remain calm, professional, and effective when working in high-stress situations.

• Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate in a safe manner at all times.

• Follow all company safety, quality, environmental, and employee handbook policies.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable under company policy.

• Basic knowledge of jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.

• Previous roadside assistance or automotive service experience preferred.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with customers and coworkers.

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

• Dependable, trustworthy, punctual, and committed to reliable attendance.

• Strong knowledge of Southeast Michigan geography.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal background check.
