Sr Operations Processor Annuity New Business

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Operations Processor – Annuity New Business based in the United States.

This role is responsible for managing a broad range of annuity new business transactions from application intake through contract delivery.
You’ll handle both standard and complex cases, resolve exceptions, and ensure transactions meet quality, compliance, and service standards.
The position combines independent processing with direct communication with Financial Professionals and business partners.
As an experienced team member, you’ll serve as a resource to peers, share knowledge, and help strengthen team performance.
You’ll also contribute to workflow improvements, technology enhancements, and operational efficiency through testing and continuous improvement.
The role offers the opportunity to work in a fully remote environment while developing deep expertise in annuity and insurance operations.
Success requires accuracy, sound judgment, strong organization, and a customer-focused approach to delivering reliable financial services.

Accountabilities:
  • Independently process standard and complex annuity new business transactions, including application entry, requirements management, policy issuance, check processing, funding, suitability reviews, and contract delivery.
  • Manage assigned cases and processing queues while meeting established quality, compliance, service-level, and productivity standards.
  • Respond to inquiries from business partners, clients, and Financial Professionals by providing accurate updates, answering routine questions, and resolving issues professionally.
  • Research and resolve exceptions by interpreting applicable policies and procedures, coordinating with upstream and downstream partners, and documenting resolution steps clearly.
  • Communicate effectively through written documentation and verbal updates to ensure stakeholders have accurate and timely information.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable peer resource by providing guidance, sharing expertise, and informally coaching newer or less experienced processors.
  • Monitor individual quality trends, identify sources of rework, and recommend practical improvements to workflows and processes.
  • Support technology and process enhancements by participating in user testing and providing operational feedback.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage cases and resolve issues efficiently throughout the processing lifecycle.
  • Maintain a strong service mindset by understanding how daily processing affects internal stakeholders, Financial Professionals, and their clients.
  • Use Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools to support research, documentation, and productivity while applying appropriate judgment.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and compliance expectations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of annuity products, industry practices, operational procedures, and applicable requirements.
  • Complete required regulatory, compliance, and professional training within established deadlines.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects that support team, departmental, and organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in annuities, insurance, or financial services operations, including experience with complex transaction processing and exception handling.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational workflows, policies, procedures, and system navigation within an insurance or financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, interpret procedures, and independently resolve non-routine issues while maintaining service-level and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and accuracy skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain productivity independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach to working with Financial Professionals and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to mentor peers, share knowledge, provide guidance, and contribute positively to overall team performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of work, with the ability to identify errors, prevent rework, and proactively improve processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic proficiency with AI-enabled workplace tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Zoom AI.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a full-time remote environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to compliance, confidentiality, quality, and professional standards.
  • LOMA certification or designation such as FLMI, ALMI, or ACS is preferred.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of $55,000–$64,000 per year.
