Strategic Account Executive (Midwest)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Executive (Midwest) based in United States.

This is a strategic enterprise sales role focused on expanding access to innovative early cancer detection solutions across health systems and healthcare institutions.
You will own a defined Midwest territory, building relationships with senior healthcare leaders and driving adoption of advanced diagnostic and digital health offerings.
The role combines consultative selling, complex contract negotiation, strategic account planning, and implementation partnership.
You will engage with C-suite executives, physicians, medical directors, laboratory leaders, and other key stakeholders to communicate clinical and commercial value.
Working closely with medical affairs, implementation, product, and marketing teams, you will help customers move from initial engagement through successful adoption.
Success will depend on building a strong pipeline, closing high-quality institutional contracts, and creating sustainable customer relationships.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced medical sales professional who is motivated by transforming healthcare and improving standards of care.

Accountabilities
  • Own sales performance across an assigned Midwest territory, developing and executing strategies to acquire and retain health system and institutional customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, healthcare leaders, physicians, medical directors, hospital administrators, laboratory directors, precision medicine leaders, and partner organizations.
  • Develop deep expertise in complex diagnostic technologies and digital health solutions, confidently communicating their clinical, operational, and commercial value.
  • Drive adoption of early cancer detection testing by educating health systems and engaging relevant clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Partner with medical affairs and implementation teams to support customer education, adoption, and successful deployment of diagnostic and digital health solutions.
  • Lead complex institutional sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement electronic medical record integrations and user experience tools that support customer adoption and growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records covering customer contacts, sales activities, market intelligence, pipeline development, and other relevant account information.
  • Develop detailed strategic account plans designed to expand relationships, increase utilization, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
  • Identify new market opportunities, monitor competitive activity, and provide actionable market intelligence to commercial leadership.
  • Capture and communicate customer feedback to product and marketing teams to help inform future offerings and commercial strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business management, marketing, science, or another related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of medical sales experience, including at least 3 years of demonstrated success selling complex diagnostic solutions to health systems or healthcare institutions.
  • Proven experience managing institutional sales cycles and successfully closing and implementing contracts with health systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, screening protocols, and the dynamics of institutional healthcare purchasing.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technically complex products and translate sophisticated clinical or technical concepts into clear customer value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence interacting with both executive and clinical audiences.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and data-driven approaches to account planning, pipeline management, and customer engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to independently develop territory and account strategies.
  • Highly proactive, results-oriented, and relationship-driven approach to enterprise sales.
  • Experience with liquid biopsy or early cancer detection solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Experience selling digital health solutions to health systems is preferred.
  • Background selling disruptive healthcare technologies or solutions designed to improve the standard of care is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 50% of working time, including potential overnight and weekend travel.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of $175,000–$210,000 USD for new hires.
  • Eligibility for equity and cash bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive medical, financial, and other benefits based on the position offered.
  • Remote work opportunity within the Midwest region.
  • Opportunity to work with innovative diagnostic and digital health technologies focused on improving early cancer detection.
  • High-impact role engaging directly with health system executives, physicians, and institutional decision-makers.
  • Significant autonomy in managing a strategic territory and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Travel opportunities to meet customers and healthcare partners across the assigned geography.
