JOB SUMMARY:
Drives diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport live poultry, transport trailers of raw materials between company facilities, jockey trailers on property, and transport finished poultry products, or any combination assigned by Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to log in compliance to DOT regulations.Self-StarterAbility to pre and post trip equipmentExcellent communication skills with ability to speak the English language.Proficient reading, writing skills, and simple mathematics.Excellent attendance and safety record.Must be able to follow instructions, be very flexible and work independently.
- Ability to handle road situations when they occur.Ability to operate forklift.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must have a valid Class A Driver's License
High school diploma or GED equivalent; or minimum of 2 years of experience.
