Custom Koncepts Technician

The Custom Koncepts Technician installs, diagnoses, and delivers high-quality aftermarket vehicle accessories for customer and company-owned vehicles. This role works closely with Sales and Operations to ensure each installation is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Shift Requirements:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm
  • 1 hour Lunch / break periods
  • Last Saturday of every month from 9am to 4pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Install aftermarket vehicle accessories, including lift and lowering kits, toolboxes, bed covers, camper shells, side steps, suspension components, grille guards, front and rear bumpers, custom wheels and tires, and off-road lighting.
  • Mount, balance, and install new, aftermarket, take-off, and accessory wheels and tires.
  • Install 12-volt accessories, including T-harness remote starts, speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers, and in-dash units.
  • Verify vehicle make, model, and accessory compatibility before beginning installation; promptly communicate concerns or required changes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot installation issues to ensure accessories function properly and meet quality standards.
  • Complete installations according to manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; properly care for tools and equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, Sales, and Operations regarding installation status, timelines, and any identified concerns.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience installing automotive aftermarket accessories; experience with suspension, wheels/tires, and 12-volt electronics strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and safe use of diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and vehicle specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple installations, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and work around vehicle components, tires, wheels, and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
Pay Range

$19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience, technical capability, and demonstrated installation skills.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and automotive lifts safely and effectively.
  • Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, changing temperatures, and automotive fluids.
  • Maintain visual attention to detail when performing installations, wiring, inspections, and quality checks.
