Position Summary:

The role will coordinate closely with HVAC and controls personnel to ensure electrical work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, the NEC, applicable codes, and Texas licensing requirements.

This position is contingent upon contract award, final scope, and project requirements.

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Disconnect existing HVAC equipment and make required electrical connections to replacement equipment.
  • Install or modify conductors, raceways, disconnects, breakers, junction boxes, grounding, and associated components within the assigned scope.
  • Verify equipment voltage, phase, grounding, overcurrent protection, and manufacturer electrical requirements.
  • Coordinate power and controls interfaces with HVAC and controls personnel.
  • Perform electrical testing, troubleshoot deficiencies, and support safe startup and commissioning.
  • Maintain code compliance and support inspections/permit requirements within the assigned workshare.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license or other Texas credential legally sufficient for the electrical work assigned.
  • Commercial electrical construction experience.
  • OSHA 10 Construction certification.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, one-lines, equipment wiring diagrams, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ability to perform work under required Texas Master Electrician/electrical contractor supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial HVAC equipment installation experience.
  • Experience in occupied healthcare or federal facilities.
  • Controls/low-voltage coordination experience.

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Construction and installation must comply with NEC, NFPA, applicable local/state/federal regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • All onsite construction workers require OSHA 10 certification.
  • Final assignment must be consistent with Texas electrical licensing and supervision requirements.
