Typical Journeyman Electrician Candidate Questions

Workload: How many installs or service calls should I expect per week? (Bases projects are tied to backup battery systems, so workloads can vary but are steady and mission-critical.)

On-call expectations: How often will I be on the rotation for after-hours calls? (Rotations are spread across the team; typically, a few days per month.)

Travel: Will I be traveling outside Dallas-Fort Worth? (This role is primarily local, with most installs in the metro area.)

Tools: Do I need to bring my own tools? (Base usually provides specialty equipment; candidates may use their own standard hand tools if preferred.)

Work environment: Is this more residential, commercial, or industrial? (This role is mostly residential installs of battery systems, with occasional inspections tied to utility and commercial partners.)

Growth: Can I move into a lead or trainer role? (Yes — Base emphasizes training and scaling crews, so strong journeymen are often tapped to lead teams.)
