POSITION SUMMARY

The Soldering Technician position will build circuit card assemblies with SMD and through-hole components. Most work will be done through a microscope.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manually install electronic components according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following written directions and/or drawings and/or schematics.Create soldered connections to applicable quality standards.Solder while using a stereo microscope (Amscope or similar).Use small hand tools to position parts to assist in assembly operation, stripping wire, forming leads, etc.Replace and/or repair faulty components using solder techniques including (but not limited to) through-hole, surface mount, and high temperature soldering.Work in compliance with OSHA and MSDS safety policies.Adhere to company practices regarding safety and control of electrostatic discharge (ESD).
