JOB SUMMARY
Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Temporary Member Care Specialist to provide administrative and membership support to the Member Care and Membership teams.
This position will primarily support member records, registration processes, assigned cases, membership follow-up, and data entry. The Temporary Member Care Specialist will communicate with members, families, volunteers, and prospective members primarily through email and may make outbound follow-up calls as needed to assist with registration, membership, or other outstanding items.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with technology and detailed information, and committed to providing timely and professional support that reflects the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Care & Administrative Support
- Monitor and respond to assigned Member Care cases accurately and within established timeframes.
- Provide email-based assistance to members, families, volunteers, and prospective members regarding registration, membership, and general inquiries.
- Research member questions and provide accurate information or route requests to the appropriate staff member for resolution.
- Make outbound follow-up calls as needed to obtain information, resolve outstanding items, or assist individuals with completing membership-related processes.
- Assist with high-volume administrative projects and other Member Care needs.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of member interactions and completed work.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling personal and organizational information.
Membership & Registration Support
- Assist prospective girl and adult members with completing membership and registration requirements.
- Follow up with membership leads and referrals to help individuals move through the registration process.
- Support membership renewal and retention efforts through timely follow-up.
- Assist with identifying and resolving registration barriers or incomplete registration items.
- Process volunteer applications, background check-related items, and financial assistance requests as assigned.
- Provide administrative support for Membership & Engagement Executives and Regional Membership Executives.
- Collaborate with Member Care, Membership, and other departments to support a positive and seamless member experience.
Data Entry & Records Management
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain member information in Salesforce and other council systems.
- Review records for completeness and accuracy and make appropriate updates.
- Assist with data cleanup, membership records, and special data-entry projects.
- Track assigned work and provide status updates as requested.
- Follow established procedures for handling confidential member and volunteer information.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or an associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, data entry, membership services, or a related area preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable communicating with customers through email and making occasional outbound follow-up calls.
- Ability to learn and navigate databases, registration systems, and other technology.
- Ability to work independently while recognizing when assistance or escalation is needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with personal and sensitive information.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and team members.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM/database system.
- Previous experience with membership, registration, nonprofit, or administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Experience working with detailed records and completing high-volume data-entry tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Temporary, on-site position based in Mableton, Georgia.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
- Frequent use of a computer, email, Salesforce, registration systems, and other online tools.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- May require occasional outbound telephone communication with members, families, volunteers, or prospective members.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Frequent use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
