Job Description

About the role
At Daxko, quality isn't an afterthought — it's built in from the start. As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you'll own the design and development of test automation frameworks that serve product teams across the company. You'll partner closely with developers and testers, set the standard for how we test software, and help teams build real confidence in their automation. This is a role for someone who thinks deeply about quality and loves solving complex testing problems with creative, scalable solutions — including hands-on use of Playwright, Daxko's primary testing tool.

What you'll do
  • Build new test automation frameworks from the ground up and contribute to the ones already in place
  • Guide product teams in determining what needs test coverage and at what level — unit, integration, or end to end
  • Define testing standards and drive shift-left quality practices across engineering teams
  • Research and introduce new testing tools and technologies that improve how we work
  • Mentor junior engineers in test automation, sharing knowledge and raising the bar for the whole team
  • Assist with building and maintaining testing environments to support reliable, repeatable testing
  • Partner with teams to prioritize the most impactful automation work, balancing new coverage with framework health

What you'll bring
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including both UI and API automation
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for testing modern web applications — this is our primary testing tool across Daxko products
  • Hands-on experience building test automation suites from scratch
  • Experience testing web applications and RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with agentic AI tools and a habit of applying them in your day-to-day workflow
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to have
  • Experience with K6 for performance and load testing
  • Experience testing mobile applications
  • Experience with Ruby, Python, JavaScript, .NET, C#, or Java
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development
  • Background working on Agile teams
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with session-based or exploratory testing techniques
