At RWJBarnabas Health, our specialized inpatient residential programs serve adolescents who experience severe behavioral and emotional disturbances. Utilizing a specialized, trauma-focused care model, our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to provide comprehensive individual, group, and family treatment. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will deliver frontline therapy, conduct complex psychosocial assessments, and provide vital clinical mentorship to developing staff. As a Social Worker LCSW, a typical day might include the following:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to analyze family dynamics and determine targeted, trauma-informed treatment needs.
• Designing, implementing, and documenting individualized, strength-based treatment plans utilizing specialized therapy modalities.
• Leading high-impact individual, group, and clinical family psychotherapy sessions tailored to adolescent developmental needs.
• Providing vital clinical supervision and mentorship to LSWs and social work students in alignment with state licensing and field instructions.
• Actively participating in and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu program on the unit.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to regularly review, update, and implement continuing care and discharge plans.
• Partnering with the Children's System of Care (CSOC), PerformCare, and external community agencies to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Ensuring precise payor authorization alignment, completing accurate clinical records, and processing timely billing documentation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited educational institution.
• An active, current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New Jersey.

• An active Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) credential is highly desired.
• Previous professional clinical experience working within community-based youth programs or adolescent psychiatric settings.
• A minimum of one (1) year of post-LCSW clinical experience preferred to fulfill clinical supervision requirements.
