Job Description

Under direct or general supervision, the incumbent learns and performs a variety of specialized program, office, administrative, and general support work for the Human Resources Department. This includes tasks such as preparing and completing records and reports on recruitments, personnel transactions, benefits, and employee or applicant information, as well as processing, assembling, and distributing related material. Additionally, they provide information about County personnel policies and procedures to the public and County staff, and may offer technical support for specialized personnel functions like recruitments or employee orientation, while also carrying out any other related duties as assigned.

HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN I


Education and Experience:

Two (2) years of full-time administrative clerical experience that includes explaining policies and processing forms and records comparable to that of an Office Assistant III with the County of Lake. Previous work experience with Human Resources records and systems is highly desirable.

OR

Two (2) years of full-time administrative clerical experience comparable to that of an Office Assistant with the County of Lake including One (1) year of previous work experience with Human Resources records and systems.


Additional directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.


HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN II

Education and Experience:

Two (2) years of full-time experience performing a variety of human resources program support work comparable to that of a Human Resources Technician I with the County of Lake.

Experience in public sector human resources is highly desirable.


Additional directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.
