Job Title: Home Health Aide Scheduler
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Home Health Aide Scheduler to coordinate and manage scheduling for our home health aides (HHAs). The ideal candidate will ensure that clients receive timely and appropriate care by efficiently assigning aides based on availability, client needs, and agency policies. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and experience working in a healthcare or home care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and assign home health aides to clients based on client needs, aide availability, and geographic location.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
• Handle last-minute scheduling changes, including call-offs and emergencies, while minimizing service disruptions.
• Communicate schedule changes to aides and clients in a timely and professional manner.
• Address scheduling conflicts, caregiver concerns, and client requests in a professional manner.
• Ensure that all visits and shifts comply with agency policies, client care plans, and regulatory requirements.
• Document all scheduling activities and maintain accurate records in the agency’s scheduling software.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as timesheet verification, payroll coordination, and reporting as needed.
• Foster strong relationships with caregivers, clients, and families to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in scheduling, healthcare administration, or home care coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in scheduling software HHA and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of home health care regulations and compliance is a plus.
