JOB SUMMARY

Perform quality Improvement and Assessments, Ventilator Care, Pulmonary Functions, assisting in emergency procedures requiring manual resuscitation, clerical duties, along with routine daily duties. To assess patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Evaluate the patient’s respiratory status and oxygenation using various equipment/procedures. Provide respiratory care for patients. Properly document therapies and submit changes for all therapies performed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Education

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program and received NBRC credential

• Licensure and Certifications

  • Must hold a current license to practice for the WVBORC

  • Valid CPR card required. (or can be obtained within the first 3 months of employment)

Education: Registered/ Certified (RRT/CRT) credentials required

Experience: Previous hospital Respiratory Care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and adjust treatments as necessary
• Setup, administer, and monitor ventilators and airway devices
• Administer medications, aerosols, and therapies
• Collaborate and communicate with healthcare teams regarding patients' needs and progress
• Respond to emergency situations
