Credentialing Specialist at Whidbey General Hospital – Coupeville, Washington

POSITION SUMMARY

The Credentialing Specialist supports the mission of providing quality healthcare to the patients of WhidbeyHealth by ensuring all aspects of the insurance credentialing and enrollment process for the hospital and for employed physicians with the organization's contracted insurance payors is complete and accurate. The Credentialing Specialist acts as a liaison for the organization and WhidbeyHealth Medical Staff with related entities such as payors, malpractice insurance agencies, and billing companies and, as a representative of the organization, is able to maintain professional, effective relationships with all contacts. **Weekend Duty / Holiday Rotation**

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates must have advanced knowledge of physician billing and insurance credentialing, be able to plan and prioritize work assigned within communicated deadlines, and must possess effective, professional interpersonal skills. Two (2) years of prior experience with Physician billing required. High school diploma or equivalent required, advanced education preferred.

Credentialing Specialist Wage Range: $25.879 - $47.096 (Pay in Lieu of Benefits)
