Job Description

Overview:

Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to step into a high-impact Director of Corporate Accounting role at one of the hospitality industry's most dynamic management companies. Reporting directly to the SVP of Accounting and Finance and working in close partnership with the CFO and CEO, this is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations — shaping the financial integrity of a company that manages a growing, diverse portfolio of hotel properties across the country.

What You'll Do:

• Lead all month-end close activities across a multi-entity organization, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and fully GAAP-compliant — and ready for executive-level review by the CFO and CEO.

• Direct the full scope of corporate accounting operations, including hotel inter-company billing, accounts receivable, cash application, and vendor invoice and expense report processing — maintaining the efficiency and precision that senior leadership depends on.

• Own the preparation of multi-company consolidated financial statements — balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow — that serve as the foundation for strategic decisions made at the highest levels of the organization.

• Architect and maintain a robust internal control environment, including designing and implementing corporate policies and procedures that balance airtight controls with operational efficiency.

• Serve as a trusted resource across the portfolio by coordinating with hotel-level accounting teams, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with corporate standards.

• Review and interpret complex management and operating agreements, ensuring all associated accounting activities remain fully compliant and properly reflected in the financial statements.

• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of corporate accounting professionals — fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous growth through hands-on coaching and mentorship.

• Spearhead the annual budget process and monthly forecast cycles, delivering the forward-looking financial visibility that the SVP, CFO, and CEO rely on for strategic planning.

• Serve as a proactive strategic partner to senior leadership, regularly providing the SVP of Accounting and Finance, CFO, and CEO with actionable insights and recommendations that drive process improvement and support the company's financial and operational goals.

• Lead the annual external audit process end-to-end, preparing draft financial statements and supporting footnotes that meet auditor expectations and reflect the highest standards of financial disclosure.

What You'll Bring:

• Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the credibility and presence to engage confidently with the SVP of Accounting and Finance, CFO, CEO, and external stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver high-quality work product and inspire strong performance from your team.

• A professional who leads with integrity — acting within appropriate scope of authority, aligned with company objectives, and consistently modeling the standards of conduct expected at the director level.

• A continuous learner who stays current with evolving accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices — and brings that knowledge back to strengthen the organization.

• 5+ years of progressive managerial accounting experience, including demonstrated leadership of accounting teams. Prior public accounting experience or hands-on exposure to complex, multi-entity accounting environments strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; active CPA certification required. This credential is essential to the scope and influence of this role.
