About the Position
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading Dynamic Group’s sales function with a strong focus on business development, revenue growth, and commercial accountability. This role is a hands-on, player-coach position that combines direct selling with leadership of the current sales team. The Sales Manager will personally drive outbound sales activity, strengthen customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and help build a more structured, scalable sales process.
This role is especially critical as Dynamic Group works to strengthen its sales engine, better balance commercial and operational capacity, and expand strategic growth in tooling, molding, and related engineering and design services. The ideal candidate will bring practical outside sales experience, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to lead with urgency, professionalism, and follow-through.

Primary Job Responsibilities Sales Leadership and Commercial Execution
- Lead the day-to-day sales function and provide direction, accountability and support to the current sales team.
- Serve as a player-coach by both managing sales activity and personally carrying a portion of the selling responsibility.
- Build structure and consistency into the sales process, including pipeline management, opportunity follow-up, prioritization, and reporting.
- Help evaluate the current sales team’s role alignment, strengths and development needs.
- Partner with leadership to shape the future structure of the sales function, including recommendations for additional business development resources over time.
Business Development
- Personally drive outbound sales activity, including prospecting, networking, customer visits, and relationship-building with new and existing accounts.
- Expand Dynamic Group’s presence with target customers in tooling, molding and medical device-related manufacturing opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities within current accounts as well as new markets and prospects.
- Increase visibility with customers by getting in front of decision-makers, not just buyers, and developing broader relationships within key accounts.
- Support efforts to convert quoted opportunities into awarded business through proactive follow-up and strong commercial communication.
Strategic Account Growth
- Strengthen and expand relationships with current customers, with emphasis on increasing share of wallet and uncovering adjacent opportunities.
- Support high-value and strategic growth accounts by collaborating with technical, operational, and executive leaders as needed.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure commercial commitments are realistic, competitive, and aligned with operational capability.
- Help the organization more effectively tell its commercial story to customers by clearly articulating Dynamic Group’s capabilities, responsiveness and value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, quality, and executive leadership to align sales priorities with capacity, technical capabilities and customer expectations.
- Work with marketing resources to align messaging, campaigns, and lead generation efforts with commercial priorities.
- Support growth of design, tooling, and molding opportunities by ensuring those capabilities are represented clearly and effectively in the marketplace.
- Collaborate with internal experts during customer interactions where technical credibility and cross-functional support are needed.
Sales Process and Performance Management
- Establish and maintain clear visibility into pipeline activity, customer opportunities, forecasts, and conversion efforts.
- Drive disciplined use of CRM and related systems to improve consistency, transparency, and accountability.
- Track and report on key sales metrics, including activity levels, opportunity pipeline, win/loss trends, and revenue growth.
- Create focus and urgency around short-term revenue opportunities while also contributing to longer-term market development.
- Ensure the sales team is spending time on the highest-value activities that will positively impact near-term and future revenue.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing, tooling, plastics, medical device, or a related B2B industrial environment.
- Prior experience in outside sales, business development, or account growth roles requiring direct customer-facing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business, build relationships, and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Experience leading, coaching, or informally directing others in a sales or commercial environment.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer visits, business development and industry events.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, injection molding, tooling, or closely related manufacturing environments.
- Experience selling into complex or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with technical sales environments where engineering, tooling, validation or launch support are part of the commercial conversation.
- Experience helping build or rebuild a sales function, including process improvement and role clarification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to balance urgency, professionalism and strategic thinking.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where the role requires both leadership and direct execution.
- Able to build credibility with customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Skilled at moving fluidly between high-level relationship building and detailed opportunity follow-up.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities at once.
- Capable of leading change and bringing structure to an evolving sales organization.
- Able to work collaboratively with technical teams while maintaining clear commercial ownership.
