Salary: £13.09 per hour + £42 per sleep-in shift

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Weekend Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. You will support service users with their daily routines, well-being, and independence while working as part of a supportive team. This role does not involve personal care.

Shift Patterns

  • Shift 1 - Day Shift: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Shift 2 - Night Shift: 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm &

    Sleep-In Shift: 11:00 pm – 9:00 am

(Flexible weekend availability required.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and laundry

  • Encourage independence and support individuals to achieve their personal goals

  • Support service users with shopping, cooking, meal planning, and healthy eating

  • Assist and/or accompany service users to appointments and community activities

  • Provide emotional support and promote positive mental well-being

  • Support engagement in activities and reduce social isolation

  • Assist with paperwork and day-to-day tasks where required

Medication & Record Keeping

  • Support medication observation using digital eMAR systems

  • Record accurate daily notes using digital care software

  • Complete digital checklists for staff and service user tasks

  • Contribute to updating care plans and risk assessments

What We’re Looking For

  • A caring, patient, and non-judgmental approach

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work weekends reliably

  • Basic IT skills (for digital care systems)

  • Previous experience in care or mental health (desirable but not essential)
