The Role
You'll be providing care and support to a range of care services, and as such the hours of work will depend on the service.
As an agency carer, you’ll be working with in other care providers, providing sickness and holiday cover for their permanent staff.
Due to the expectation that you’ll hit the ground running on shift, we require all successful applicants to have a minimum of 6 months professional experience in care.
The reality and the best thing about working in care is that every day is different!

Your Responsibilities
As an Agency Care Assistant/Support Worker, you’ll enjoy a variety of shifts that include caring for people in their home and out in the community.
Your roles and responsibilities will include
Attend allocated care shifts as required.
Provide person-centred care to everyone that you support.
Building relationships of trust with colleagues, partner organisations, and the people we support.
Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
Comprehensive report writing.
Spend time getting to know and understand the people we support.
Engage in activities that enhance the lives of those we care for.
Pursue greater professional competence through training and qualification.
Protect the people we care for by sharing concerns and following safeguarding protocol.
Hours and Pay
This is a Care Assistant/Support Worker agency role. Which means you get to pick when you work, but just as importantly you get to pick when you do not work!
Care Providers will give us shifts to cover, and we will offer these to you. You can say yes or no depending on your availability.
The Successful Person
To be successful in your application, you’ll need
The right to work in the UK. Ocala Recruitment is not a sponsorship licence holder. We cannot provide sponsorship.
At least 6-months care experience (any less and we can't move forward)
To have cared for people before (and loved it!)
To have tremendous confidence supporting and caring for people
To have read the job description and thought “this job is for me!”
To be able to write care reports that social workers love to read!
To be motivated by making a difference to people’s lives
To be reliable, hardworking, and all the usual stuff too!
