Healthcare Management Trainee

Job Summary: The Rising Senior Healthcare Administration Internship is a paid 8-week internship experience for students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Under direct supervision, they assist in performing administrative tasks in support of a wide variety of department functions and policies. This includes the undertaking of independent projects, analyses & reports to improve their knowledge and provide basic administrative support for the organization.

Responsibilities:

Provides support to department professional staff.

Assists with special projects events and work activities according to departmental needs.

Shadows department staff for educational purposes.

Participates in the collection and preparation of data relative to the department.

Attends & participates in a variety of meetings & committees.

Responds to emails in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience: 1 year performing general office/clerical experience in an office setting preferred.

Education: Minimum High School Diploma, required. Qualified candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and are currently an undergraduate student entering their senior year of a 4-year program.

Other: Strong computer skills. Ability to multitask. Excellent interpersonal, telephone and customer service skills. Time management, organization, attention to detail, scheduling, and word processing. Professionalism with quality focus.
