Job Description
St. Pius X High School, serving students in grades nine through twelve, is a Catholic, college-preparatory school providing a quality education by embracing academic excellence and promoting social and spiritual growth.
St. Pius X is looking for a part-time administrative assistant in the front office. The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the school office while serving as a welcoming and professional presence for students, families, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in maintaining efficient communication, accurate records, and a faith-centered environment that reflects the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church. This position will report to the Principal.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the school office (phone, email, and in-person visitors)
- Maintain student records, attendance, and general office files
- Assist with data entry and reporting in school management systems (FACTS SIS)
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for administration
- Provide friendly, professional support to parents, students, and staff
- Assist in preparing school communications (newsletters, emails, etc)
- Assist with student check-in/check-out and attendance tracking
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Assist with any other duties requested by the principal
This is a part-time position, with full-time opportunities potentially available. Requirements:- Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or office support experience preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
