Position Summary
-
Under the direction of the licensed staff member, the Patient Care Technician gives routine, non – licensed, technical bedside care as a member of the Nursing Team.

Patient Care Tech (PCT) Certification - Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required

Core Job Functions
- Complies with regulatory guidelines for work area and professional practice. Communicates safety risk to other providers. Facilitates system/ department in obtaining appropriate reimbursement/ revenue.
- Patients are identified per guidelines and patient care interventions are provided under the direction of the RN/LPN. Accurately obtains and documents patient assessments according to hospital/ department guidelines.
- Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
