Senior Accountant - Financial at Holzer Health System – Gallipolis, Ohio

Works under the supervision of the System Controller/System Director of Accounting. Reviews and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts and resolves any discrepancies; participates in the preparation of hospital financial statement and reports, and in their analysis; and provides information and assistance to the external auditors. Centralizes all efforts at cost analysis by the accounting department. Emphasis will be placed upon preparation of the reports to management, which highlight differences from expected performance. Significant differences will be pursued as to their cause and effect upon the institution and this information will be brought to the attention of management.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

• Bachelors degree with major in Accounting required.

• Previous experience of three to five years in a financial accounting position required.

• Prior health care experience is desirable.

• Ability to become proficient in one to two years is required.
