Clinic Pre-cert Representative at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Our clinic is searching for a qualified candidate to be a Pre-Certification Representative. They will be responsible for submitting requests to insurance companies to pre-authorize surgery for our patients. Excellent communication skills are imperative as they will be speaking with insurance companies and patients to ensure we have all necessary information prior to procedures. They will be responsible for communicating with the doctors and nurses throughout the process as well as coordinating with the hospital's pre-certification department. Computer skills are necessary for this job, and it is required for information to be scanned and submitted in a timely manner. Medical terminology and/or prior experience in prior authorizations is preferred.
