Discharge Specialist at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

The Health Information Management Department is seeking a discharge specialist to assist with the daily operations of the department. The discharge specialist will work under the Assistant Director and should be qualified to perform task such as, but not limited to, chart analysis, filing and locating charts, answer telephone request, checking out charts to other departments, and any duties commensurate with their ability as requested by the supervisor. The individual should have effective social skills, communication skills, and be able to function in a fast paced and changing environment. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Upon hiring, the applicant will be required to attend an orientation session prior to beginning work in the department. The candidate with a good work history, dependable and willing to go the extra mile will get the job!
