About This Position

About the Role:

This Talent Pool encompasses multiple critical roles within the mortgage lending process, including Loan Officer, Underwriter (UW), Funder, Account Executive (AE), and Sales Relationship Coordinator. The primary objective is to facilitate smooth and efficient mortgage transactions from application through funding, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Candidates will contribute to the growth and success of the mortgage division by delivering exceptional service, accurate risk assessment, and timely processing of loan applications. Collaboration across departments and with clients is essential to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Ultimately, this role supports the organization’s mission to provide accessible and reliable mortgage solutions to a diverse client base across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Relevant state licensing or certification for Loan Officers (e.g., NMLS license) where applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, funding, or sales within the finance and insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, loan processing procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mortgage loan origination software and underwriting platforms.
  • Proven track record in sales or client relationship management within the mortgage or financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with federal and state mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and ECOA.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) or similar credentials.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process mortgage loan applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and internal teams to gather necessary documentation and provide updates throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Assess borrower creditworthiness and risk factors to make informed underwriting decisions or recommendations.
  • Coordinate the funding process by verifying loan conditions, preparing closing documents, and ensuring timely disbursement of funds.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners to generate new business opportunities and support account growth.
