DOSP Hospital Based: Rehab Managers, PSR Supervisor, Athletic Trainer Supervisor, Work Systems Coordinator, Director of Culinary Services, Director of EVS, Emergency Department*, Hospitalist*, Ortho*, General Surgery* (*indirect reporting)
Job Summary
The Director of Operations + Strategic Priorities will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. The Director will lead strategic priorities in support of NH+C’s annual objectives and champion a culture of performance improvement across the organization.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The wage range for this position is $166,337.60—$234,832.00 annually. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
Key Accountabilities
Operational
-
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
-
Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.

Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the organization.

Managing relationships with partners/vendors
-
Managing relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers
Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance
-
Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, technology, and customer service to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.

Monitors, implements, and participates in continuous quality improvement processes.

Communicates with various departments, Department Directors, and Medical Staff to resolve operational problems and improve quality of services.
Strategic Management
-
Communicates the mission, values and strategic plan.
-
Participates in the development and communication of organizational goals and objectives.

Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.

Implement key elements of the annual strategic priorities
Financial
-
Manages physician and advanced practice provider compensation programs.
-
Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and expenses of assigned departments to achieve financial objectives.

Setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

Evaluating performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

Work closely with COO and CFO on all financial matters.
Human Resource Management
-
Interviews and hires applicants.
-
Cultivates an atmosphere that promotes recruitment, retention, and employee appreciation. Promotes good employee relations.

Establishes and maintains a climate in which personnel can attain their maximum potential in performance.

Prepares and reviews personnel performance evaluations and develops corrective action plans if needed.

Assure appropriate staff development for direct reports.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field.
-
Minimum of Ten years healthcare management experience
-
Proven track record of financial, clinical and quality success
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Agreement/alignment with NH+C’s mission, vision and values
Preferred Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in business administration, healthcare, or related field
-
Previous clinical operations director experience in a clinic or hospital setting
-
Must be able to balance conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks concurrently
-
Must be able to able to adjust work schedule to match job requirements (e.g. occasional evening or early morning meetings)
Schedule
80 hours per 2-week pay period
Primarily Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some schedule flexibility
Occasional weekend as needed; no holiday requirement
