Overview

Siema Construction is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lafayette, LA. This role is key in ensuring vendors are paid timely, invoices are processed accurately, and project costs are tracked properly in support of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enter and code vendor invoices into Viewpoint Vista
2. Route invoices to Project Managers for approval via Microsoft Teams
3. Prepare weekly payment batches and reconcile vendor statements
4. Track lien waivers, W-9s, and subcontractor compliance documents
5. Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
6. Support month-end close with accruals and prepaids
7. Apply proper sales tax codes and flag issues for review
8. Run standard AP reports and assist with audits

1. 2+ years of accounts payable experience (construction preferred)
2. Experience with accounting software; Viewpoint Vista a plus
3. Strong organizational and communication skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
5. High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
