About This Position

Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers (PTSMC) seeks an outgoing, customer centric focused professional for our Patient Accounts Receivable Representative team.

This role supports patient collections for our 38 outpatient physical therapy clinics. This is a fully remote position focused on calling patients to collect outstanding balances. Prior experience is required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide an outstanding customer service experience for patients with all correspondence
  • Contact patients by telephone to collect patient balances while the patient is treating
  • Process patient credit card payments and post to patient account
  • Utilize patient accounts receivable reporting to work accounts and collect payment
  • Handle incoming calls regarding patient balances for all clinics
  • Communicate any changes in insurance information to the billing department
  • Document patient account and collections activity to the billing department and front desk

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience with collecting on patient accounts
  • Customer service focused
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including data entry, Excel & Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple programs, browsers, network connections, file management and search tools
