We are seeking highly motivated, individuals capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including climbing, running, lifting, and bending to join our team as Camp Horizon Counselors. This role is ideal for those who enjoy being on the go, participating actively in all camp activities, and leading by example. A Camp Horizon Counselor will be constantly engaged, leading games, sports, and activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of campers at all times.
Job Description
Responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and implementing activities involving all aspects of recreation including sports, games, arts and crafts, drama, dance, and nature activities for children five (5) – twelve (12) years. Report and schedule preparation and other duties as assigned. Orientation required June 8-12, 2026. Camp program runs for eight (8) weeks, Monday through Friday, beginning June 15th, 2026. Position falls under the direct supervision of the Camp Director.
Position Details
- Applicants must be dedicated, enthusiastic, hardworking, creative individuals who love working with children
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Hold a valid driving license
- $17.90/hour
- Those with or working toward a degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field are desired
- If hired, this position requires certification in First Aid and CPR – included during orientation week
- Must be available to work June 8, 2026 to August 7, 2026
- Forty (40) hours per week with limited overtime opportunities
- Pass a post offer drug test and background check
