The Apothecary Pharmacy Intern assists the pharmacist in preparing prescription medications through front end and back end operational support ranging from data entry, filing, processing, and shipping of medications. The Intern may perform any function of a pharmacist while under the direct supervision of a pharmacist including giving vaccinations (with certification), transferring prescriptions to and from other pharmacies, transcribing new prescriptions from verbal orders, counseling patients, and answering patient questions.
