Bartenders and Servers at The Oak Room – Mesa, Arizona

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a new Gastropub in downtown Mesa and are seeking bartenders and servers! We need bartenders and servers who thrive in a fast-paced, non-corporate environment, are motivated to make great money, and have genuine interest in fostering a customer experience that is phenomenal from start to finish. Job Functions include:

• Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving food and drinks
• Assessing customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations
• Restocking and replenishing the bar inventory and supplies
• Cleaning and preparing the bar and tables for our next guests
• Staying guest-focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience
• For bartenders: delivering excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks; Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean; having grace and skill as an enthusiastic bartender to aid in providing an excellent guest drinking experience.
• Other duties assigned by the GM or Assistant GM

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum age of 19;
• High School Education or equivalent
• Previous restaurant experience preferable
• Determined and diligent worker
• Friendly demeanor; Loves to openly talk with customers
• Open and flexible availability including holidays, weekends, days, nights
• Drug free – Must pass drug screening test
• Highly reliable; shows up to work when scheduled and on time; has reliable transportation.
• For bartenders: Two-years minimum previous bartending experience (references will be checked!), minimum age of 21
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis, push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 30 lbs. for up to 100 yards, and constantly stand and walk.
• Requires occasional stooping, bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling and crawling.
• Regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; talk; see; and hear. Must be physically able to handle, grasp and reach frequently throughout the workday.
