About This Position
Position Summary
The Portfolio Management Analyst will support the management and performance analysis of a multifamily real estate portfolio. This role involves data analysis, financial modeling, reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making to maximize portfolio returns and mitigate risk. The Analyst will work closely with development, asset management, finance, and senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the performance of multifamily real estate assets within the portfolio, using financial and operational metrics.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and cash flow projections at the asset and portfolio levels.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting, including performance summaries, benchmarking, and variance analysis.
- Conduct hold/sell/refinance analysis and support business plan updates.
- Analyze market trends and portfolio risk exposure to help inform strategic decisions.
- Support budgeting, reforecasting, and valuation processes in coordination with Asset Management, Development, and Accounting teams.
- Maintain and enhance internal dashboards and portfolio analytics tools.
- Assist in ESG data collection and reporting, where applicable.
- Participate in Investment Committee preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with Development and Investments to assess pipeline impact on overall portfolio strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 of experience in real estate, finance, or investment analysis; internship experience in real estate or investment banking may be considered.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills (Argus a plus).
- Proficient in PowerPoint and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar preferred).
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals, investment principles, and valuation methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
