Position Summary

The Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) supports our veterinarians in both wellness and urgent care settings by providing high-quality technical and nursing support. The ideal candidate is confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during physical exams, procedures, and treatments

  • Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, and dental cleanings

  • Administering medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids as directed

  • Communicating clearly with clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

  • Maintaining accurate patient medical records (EzyVet experience a plus)

  • Practicing gentle, low-stress patient handling and safety techniques

  • Ensuring exam and treatment areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked

  • Participating in ongoing training and hospital improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in Pennsylvania, or eligible for certification

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine

  • Demonstrates strong technical ability, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Reliable, organized, and professional in all aspects of patient and client care

  • Compassionate and eager to learn in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Schedule

Full-time position with rotating weekends and occasional evenings or holidays.
Schedules are designed to maintain consistent work-life balance while meeting hospital needs.
