Position Summary

The Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) supports our veterinarians in both wellness and urgent care settings by providing high-quality technical and nursing support. The ideal candidate is confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

    Assisting veterinarians during physical exams, procedures, and treatments

    Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, and dental cleanings

    Administering medications, injections, and subcutaneous fluids as directed

    Communicating clearly with clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

    Maintaining accurate patient medical records (EzyVet experience a plus)

    Practicing gentle, low-stress patient handling and safety techniques

    Ensuring exam and treatment areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked

    Participating in ongoing training and hospital improvement initiatives

Qualifications

    Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in Pennsylvania, or eligible for certification

    Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine

    Demonstrates strong technical ability, communication, and teamwork skills

    Reliable, organized, and professional in all aspects of patient and client care

    Compassionate and eager to learn in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Schedule

Full-time position with rotating weekends and occasional evenings or holidays.
Schedules are designed to maintain consistent work-life balance while meeting hospital needs.
