Heavy Equipment Operator (W/S) at City of Union – Union, South Carolina

The City of Union is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Heavy Equipment Operator – Water/Sewer in the Utilities Department. This role involves operating various types of machinery to assist in the construction, maintenance, repair, and installation activities in area of assignment. The successful candidate will repair water & sewer mains, install/remove meters, unclog sewers, change water valves and hydrants, etc. Perform routine maintenance and care of equipment and tools. Perform other related duties as required.

Must have a high school diploma or GED required and two years of experience as a heavy equipment operator, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have a valid driver’s license, and maintain a valid South Carolina Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain a commercial drivers license.
