Billing & Coding Specialist at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Our clinic is searching for a qualified candidate to fill a role in our office who will assist the billing department and prior authorization department in our clinic. This person will be responsible for submitting requests to insurance companies to pre-authorize procedures and treatments for our patients as well as billing for office visits and procedures. Excellent communications skills are imperative as they will be speaking with insurance companies and patients to ensure we have all necessary information prior to procedures. They will be responsible for communicating with the doctors and nurses throughout the process. Computer skills are necessary for this job and it is required for information to be scanned and submitted in a timely manner. Medical terminology and/or prior experience in prior authorizations and medical billing is preferred.
