Job Summary:

The Project Manager will play a key role in implementing and managing a project management system, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects from ideation to market. This position requires a strategic, self-driven individual with strong organizational and communication skills to oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and performance metrics. The role involves managing multiple projects across departments, assessing resource capacity for scalability, and applying both Agile principles and predictive project management methodologies to ensure successful outcomes. This is a hybrid role, working in the Richmond office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and recommend project management software that aligns with Peak’s business model; implement and integrate it into daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain templates for various project types.
  • Manage and monitor projects through the full lifecycle, from concept to store shelf, ensuring timely delivery and tracking within the project management system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, marketing, sales and operations, to ensure all projects stay on schedule.
  • Build dashboards to track progress, resource utilization, and performance; develop alert systems for delays or risks.
  • Provide regular updates on project timelines, milestones, and potential issues to leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize risks; standardize workflows across projects.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all product development initiatives, fostering effective communication across departments.
  • Work with senior management to define project requirements, timelines, and costs.
  • Develop detailed project plans to guide stakeholders and revise based on changing needs and requirements
  • Compile and submit project status reports to management or other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience, ideally overseeing products from ideation to market launch.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing project management systems.
  • Strong background in cross-functional team coordination and stakeholder communication.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relations skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
