You should be:

• A purchasing powerhouse with experience in metals, raw materials, MRO, and shop supplies
• Highly organized (your spreadsheets have spreadsheets)
• A natural negotiator who isn’t afraid to ask: “Can you do better on that price?”
• Detail-driven, yet able to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat
• Someone with a great personality—you build rapport easily and enjoy working with people

What You’ll Do

• Source and purchase everything from raw materials to shop supplies, tools, PPE, and more
• Negotiate pricing like a pro—securing cost savings and building strong vendor relationships
• Generate and manage RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier follow-ups
• Keep inventory flowing—no shortages, no surprises
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to keep us competitive
• Track shipments from vendor ? freight forwarder ? final destination
• Work closely with department managers to ensure specs, quality, and deadlines are met
• Handle returns, credits, and vendor issues with confidence
• Maintain clean, audit-ready purchasing records
• Occasionally coordinate things like catering (yes, you’ll be everyone’s favorite person that day)
