Position Overview
Align is seeking a highly skilled Revit Specialist with strong BIM modeling experience supporting electrical and MEP systems and a proven background supporting large-scale building projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Revit production professional capable of independently building and modifying coordinated MEP models within an established project framework, coordinating across disciplines, and producing construction-ready documentation that supports field installation and construction coordination.
The ideal candidate understands how modeled systems are installed in the field and can apply that knowledge when coordinating and routing systems in Revit models. Candidates with electrical construction, field installation, or trade experience who have transitioned into BIM/VDC modeling are strongly encouraged to apply.
Direct data center project experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with significant BIM modeling experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects will also be considered.
This role focuses on drafting and modeling coordinated MEP systems for complex infrastructure projects, including electrical conduit routing, cable tray layouts, power distribution layouts, and related construction documentation.
- This position is based in the Dallas/Plano, TX area and requires local presence for team collaboration and project coordination as needed. Occasional travel (~10%) to project sites may be required.
- This is a full-time salaried position offering a competitive salary range (commensurate with experience), comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training, and performance-based bonuses.
Key Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional Revit modeling experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects
- Strong familiarity with white space layouts, electrical and mechanical system layout coordination, conduit routing, or power distribution modeling within Revit
- Field installation or electrical construction experience is highly valued
- Strong multi-discipline coordination experience across architectural, structural, and MEP systems
- Experience working within structured, multi-user Revit environments (worksharing)
- Strong model troubleshooting and coordination problem-solving abilities
- Proven quality control and revision tracking practices within active production environments
- Ability to interpret markups and execute design intent accurately
- Effective communication skills with cross-functional project teams
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with power distribution layouts and one-line diagrams
- Experience participating in clash detection workflows (Navisworks or similar)
- AutoCAD familiarity
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for complex commercial, industrial, and data center projects
- Produce coordinated shop drawings and installation deliverables used by field teams
- Produce accurate and coordinated MEP construction documentation
- Update and refine models based on design changes and cross-disciplinary coordination
- Identify and flag coordination conflicts for resolution and participate in model coordination reviews
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to support project delivery
- Act as an experienced production resource, contributing to drafting standards and workflow consistency
- Support design reviews and overall project execution
To support a fair, consistent, and high-quality hiring experience, some interviews may be recorded. These recordings help our team focus fully on the conversation at hand, rather than note-taking, and allow us to better evaluate and improve our recruitment process. Recordings are used solely for internal purposes such as training, quality assurance, and process improvement. Candidates will be informed in advance and asked to provide consent before any recording takes place.
