Medical Assistant - Primary Care at PBACO Holding LLC – Wellington, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused Primary Care Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical office environment.

• Coordinate physician-directed orders for medication refills, laboratory tests, and diagnostic services

• Obtain, verify, and accurately document patient medical histories

• Collect and submit required patient information for insurance verification and prior authorizations

• Perform front desk duties, including patient check-in and check-out

• Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)

• Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinical documentation

• Manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications with patients

• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and office staff

• Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk team members

• Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of medical records

• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards at all times

• Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)

• Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred)

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EMR systems (preferred)

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures (preferred)

• Strong computer and data entry skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment

• Strong customer service and patient care skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
