  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through structured approaches such as total cost of ownership, should-cost modeling, and benchmarking to deliver sustained savings
  • Establish inventory and supply strategies that balance working capital efficiency with service levels, including approaches such as VMI, consignment, and safety stock
  • Implement sourcing risk management frameworks to mitigate supply disruption, manage market volatility, and ensure resilience across the supplier base
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, and quality teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs and product requirements
  • Define and monitor performance metrics to track supplier performance, cost savings, and sourcing effectiveness, providing visibility and insights to leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience managing raw materials and/or MRO categories strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, cost modeling, and contract negotiation
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to use data, metrics, and analytical tools to drive supplier performance and sourcing decisions
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving strategy deployment across a decentralized organization
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM) and/or MBA preferred
