- Apply proper torque, fastener methods, and assembly techniques per standards
- Perform alignment and fit checks to ensure smooth operation and long-term durability
- Conduct functional checks including stroke verification and pre-test inspections
- Support pressure testing and leak detection to ensure cylinders are service-ready
- Pull parts, match to bill of materials, and confirm everything lines up before build
- Clean, inspect, and prep components, including removing debris or weld splatter
- Install valves, plugs, and stamp components to match job tracking requirements
- Use tools like torque wrenches, presses, and lifting equipment safely and effectively
- Keep your workspace clean and controlled, contamination matters in this work
- You know hydraulic cylinders or heavy mechanical assembly, and you’ve done it hands-on
- You can read prints, work instructions, and parts breakdowns without guessing
- You understand tolerances, fits, and why the small details matter
- You’re comfortable working with large components (up to 2,000 lbs and 15 ft)
- You can measure accurately using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
- You’ve got solid math skills, fractions, decimals, and real-world application
- You can keep up in a production environment without cutting corners
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
- 2 or more years working with hydraulic cylinders, heavy equipment repair, or similar
- 5 or more years of mechanical assembly/disassembly experience preferred
- Experience with cylinder testing methods is a plus

- Work closely with machinists, quality, and engineering to solve fit-up or quality issues
- Help identify root causes and support corrective actions
- Share your knowledge and help train newer team members
- Set the standard for workmanship and accountability on the floor
This is a manufacturing environment. You’ll be working around moving equipment, loud noise, and occasionally wet or humid conditions.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Work with hands, tools, and equipment throughout the shift
- Occasionally stand, walk, kneel, or crouch as needed
