We're looking for an experienced Senior CNC Maintenance Technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, solving technical challenges, and helping others grow.

This role serves as a technical leader within the maintenance team and plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting production performance.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll support production by ensuring CNC equipment and related systems operate safely and efficiently.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment including mills, lathes, saws, and related production machinery
• Support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize machine uptime and equipment life
• Observe equipment performance and identify root causes of failures and recurring issues
• Disassemble, repair, replace, and test mechanical and electrical components using appropriate tools and equipment
• Calibrate and align machinery to maintain production quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and parts records
• Initiate purchase requests for replacement parts and equipment
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements
• Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians on troubleshooting and best practices
• Follow OSHA requirements, LOTO procedures, and company safety policies
• Participate in on-call support and work flexible schedules as business needs require

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical degree, apprenticeship, or industry certifications preferred
• Minimum 7 years of CNC maintenance experience preferred
• Strong understanding of CNC systems and controls including Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or similar systems
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
• Ability to diagnose issues involving HMIs, drives, and power supplies
• Experience installing and configuring drives preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production teams and leadership
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel

Helpful Experience

• Predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and laser alignment
• Multi-axis CNC equipment
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Leadership, coaching, or mentoring responsibilities

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, electrical systems, varying temperatures, noise, humidity, and occasional exposure to chemicals and outdoor conditions. Required PPE may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other required safety equipment.

Physical Requirements

Employees regularly stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Employees may frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
