SCRUB TECH STUDENT - SURGERY at East Alabama Medical Center – OPELIKA, Alabama

Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient centered care in the perioperative suite by maintaining a sterile environment before and during the surgical procedure. Under the supervision of the perioperative Scrub Tech and RN Circulator, the Scrub Tech in Training staff member demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors to maintain a consistent level of practice. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development through teamwork training as evidenced by demonstrating engagement and interest in the learning process.
