About This Position

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Engineer to maintain the overall condition of our facilities. A Building Engineer is a hands-on professional with a practical mindset and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate works independently and responsibly, with a minimum of three years of maintenance experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, general plumbing, and electrical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and equipment
  • Service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint
  • Evaluate maintenance operations and make recommendations for upgrades or cost-saving measures
  • Safely operate tools and equipment used in facility maintenance
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and service requests
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions and preventive maintenance needs
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and related equipment
  • Use technology effectively, including smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in building maintenance
  • Comfortable using technology such as smartphones and tablets for work orders
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods and processes
  • Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and common devices
  • Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations as needed
